    New in 2013

    In 2013, an important initiative is engagement with a new generation of professionals to extend our capability into additional fields augmenting our evidence and knowledge base within Rosemount.  To read more, go to the Articles tab in the Media Centre.

    Recent research outcomes:

    • a literature review on IT in contemporary society – read more;
    • contributing to an evidence review on exploitative practices undertaken for Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand by Anti-Slavery Australiaread more;

    Recent advocacy initiatives:

    • a submission on behalf of Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand on the Exposure Draft of the Crimes Legislation Amendment (Slavery, Slave-like conditions and People Trafficking) Bill 2012;
    • a joint submission with Good Shepherd Youth and Family Services (based in Victoria) on the Exposure Draft of the National Human Rights Action Plan.

    Current projects include a collaboration with Anti-Slavery Australia at the University of Technology, Sydney to research experiences and incidence of forced and servile marriage in Australia.  A community forum was held in September 2012, giving rise to a regular update on this research.  Subscribe to the update using the link above.  Any enquiries about this project may be directed to
